Experienced and passionate are two words that describe who I am as a photographer.

I’ve been behind the camera for over four decades, first as a hobbyist, then as a professional.

What captivates me in photography - what excites me most - is realizing the true value of photography. It’s far more than “taking a picture” or “filing away” a memory. It’s about the emotion and the connection that a well-captured image creates for people. It’s also about the simple way a photograph can communicate and tell stories.

When I started out as a commercial photographer, I fell in love with the work: It’s gritty and joyful and challenging and interesting.
